Attention race fans! Orange Beach, Alabama is pleased to announce the first Annual Super Boat Grand Prix of the Gulf Coast will be held the weekend of August 21st thru August 24th. This will be the first Offshore Powerboat race in Alabama. The Super Boat Grand Prix will have over 40 boats involved in this exciting event. The spectators will be able to watch the biggest, fastest, and largest powerboats in the world! These boats, with a maximum length of 50 feet, equipped with up to 4 engines that will produce more than 4,800 HP, and can run up to speeds of 170 mph. Boats scheduled to race will include Nick Carters El Diablo- (Nick Carter -the International singing star of the famous "Backstreet Boys"), Pier 57, Bacardi Silver, Instigator, Firewater, Shockwave, Muscle, The Switch, and lets not forget Snack Attack!
John Carbonell, a veteran racer and promoter, founder of Super Boat International says, " I am impressed with the beauty of the area and looking forward to a long relationship with the Gulf Coast Powerboat Association".

Nick Carter and Grand Americas Kick Off Race Week Miami:
Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys appeared at a press conference for the Miami Sports & Exhibition Authority promoting Race Week Miami.
Race Week Miami will kick off with the Super Boat National Championships September 19-21 and conclude with the Grand Prix Americas featuring the American Le Mans Series and the Champ Car World Series September 26-28. The week of racing also includes the Race Week Miami Regatta, Outboard Motor Boat Events, family activities and numerous special events with a grand finale concert at the Miami Arena Sunday September 28th.
Nick Carter will be part of the El Diablo Racing Team that will be racing in the Superboat Unlimited Class for Super Boat International. His boat, El Diablo, will be on display on Watson Island throughout the weekend..

MARATHON, Fla. - April 7, 2003 - "Nick Carter's El Diablo Racing Team" moves up to the Superboat Unlimited class of racing with Super Boat International Productions, Inc. International singing star of the famous "Backstreet Boys" Nick Carter, signed a letter of intent for his team to race in the 2003 Super Boat International (SBIP) boat racing circuit.
The Miami Super Boat Grand Prix scheduled to take place April 25-27, 2003, will mark the debut of the "Nick Carter's El Diablo Racing" in the Superboat Unlimited class. Todd Wharton one of the top throttlemen in the business will be on the throttles and Marc LaFleur, experienced driver will be on the wheel in the cockpit. "I'm very excited to be moving up, running with the BIGGEST, FASTEST BOATSTM in the World and have a team that can take the National and World Championships" said Carter.
"Nick Carter's El Diablo Racing" will race a 42-foot Fountain Scism, Cat-hull, housing twin 1500 hp engines and will race in the Superboat Unlimited Class were the boats are capable of speeds in excess of 170 mph. "We are delighted to have Nick Carter El Diablo Racing team racing with SBIP this season. Nick and Aaron will attend at pre-announced race sites and also staging concerts, it is going to be a great year for our fans and the Carter's," said John Carbonell, President of SBI.
Nick follows in a long tradition of SBI celebrity drivers. Don Johnson, Kurt Russell, Chuck Norris and Jason Priestley have all been racers in the BIGGEST, FASTEST BOATSTM in the world.
